MISSION
Lumen Christi (LC) is a teenage youth group that focuses on growth in the Catholic faith by embracing the Josephite-Marellian spirituality of the Oblates of St. Joseph. By growing in a relationship with Jesus Christ, this ministry seeks ways of involving the youth in many activities, which include but are not limited to: Bible study, ice breakers, guest speakers, adoration, group discussions, skits, gatherings, etc. This ministry strives to be a bridge for any gaps between youth and their families, parish, and community. It also strives to assist youth to grow as Catholics individually, to evangelize and inform other youth about Catholicism. Another important emphasis of the group is community service. As Catholics we forget that there are so many people in the world that need help, so by not only praying for them we can actually give a portion of our time to them. By embracing the call to be a light in the world, each youth will seek to demonstrate an ultimate service and devotion to God.
